Sunnyvale releases new single, ‘Dear Diana’ – Reignland

Sunnyvale is here to bring a cool new single titled, ‘Dear Diana’. The track is very light with a cool guitar melody and a nice storytelling type of lyrism. It’s honestly encouraging. “It’s a response to watching my daughter watch the Wonder Woman movie, and seeing her respond positively to the empowerment represented by a female superhero.” she says. This tune honestly feels like a warm hug or sitting around with family and telling stories.

Growing up in 1980s suburban New Jersey, Jill Knapp (vocals/percussion), Leo McClusky (guitar/vocals), and Andrew Durkin (vocals/piano/guitar/songs) first began collaborating in high school. Their musical paths would later cross with Matt Casarino (guitar/vocals), a fellow Gen-Xer from Delaware. In 2016, inspired by the untimely passing of a close mutual friend, Sunnyvale was born. The group’s debut album, The Ballad of Up & Down (February 2020), is an exploration of love and loss, in shades of indie pop and rock.
