Aaron Spencer debuts with ‘Sticky Dancefloor’, a story about meeting someone that takes all your problems away for the night. – Reignland

Aaron Spencer is ready to debut his musical talents with his first single, ‘Sticky Dancefloor.’ It is inspired by the guitar tones of The Strokes. The lyrics speak about his time living in the NW of England and meeting someone that makes all of your problems go away just for that night that you are with it.

“I wrote this song when I was 18. Like a lot of people at this age, I was trying to figure out who and what I wanted to be. I had recently moved away from the town I grew up in, my friends were blooming and moving on to top Universities. The government had hiked University fees, putting me off carrying the debt for years and possibly decades into adulthood. I was working two part-time jobs with no sign of progression or forward path. Applying for ‘career-potential’ jobs and facing rejection time and time again.”

He continued, ‘Feeling hopeless and depressed, I went on a night out to Manchester with my friends and ended up in a nightclub called 42s. Unlike the places in my town they played music, I would listen to them in my bedroom. The DJ mirrored my music taste – The Smiths, The Strokes, The Stone Roses, Courteeners, Artic Monkeys, etc. Which was a refreshing change to the recycled mind-numbing pop music I would pretend to enjoy in local nightclubs on a typical Saturday night?

42s was a place I had never experienced before. It was full of likeminded teenagers mostly united for one reason – the music. As a teenager/young adult, I lived my life by the music I listen to and as a result, it’s easy to hit it off with anyone who is on the page. I met someone that night. Wearing vintage clothes and eyeliner, seemingly inspired by Audrey Hepburn – I was rather stunned (albeit very intoxicated on alcohol). The pressure of being a lost young person diminished for a while.”

Alexi Blue shares a powerful message about self-worth & social media. – Reignland

After an amazing show at Hotel Cafe this week, Alexi felt like inspiring her fans with some words of wisdom about social media and self-worth through a set of four tweets.

I wish social media didn’t show likes or numbers. Why does it have to be a participatory event where people have to “like” what you’ve done in order for you to feel validated? Likes and numbers on social media apps have absolutely nothing to do with your worth.

— Alexi Blue (@AlexiBlue) February 7, 2019

It just festers a sense of competition & comparison, which then leads to self-doubt, and then we wonder why our generation gets depressed. It’s a cycle that never ends. We’d be so much better off without a “like” button. One day all of these apps will be gone.

— Alexi Blue (@AlexiBlue) February 7, 2019

Ask yourself who u are w/o these apps. You are probably way better off. Without them you’d live ur life for you & do things for ur own self improvement. You’d concentrate on ur own shit instead of stressing out on whether or not you have the right angle or filter or lighting.

— Alexi Blue (@AlexiBlue) February 7, 2019

What a waste of time. Everybody looks perfect and a glossy on their social media. Trust me that’s not what it is. Who is going to post all the real stuff or the bad stuff? Nobody. It’s all a facade. SOCIAL MEDIA LIKES DONT DEFINE YOUR WORTH. These apps are gonna be gone one day

— Alexi Blue (@AlexiBlue) February 7, 2019

Social media does not define you. Some people forget that. Thanks, Alexi for always inspiring your fans.

Drew Schueler takes you to his “Paradise” in new single – Reignland

New pop artist, Drew Schueler has released a new romantic single ‘Paradise’. He shows on this track that he is a master at creating unique yet familiar songs full of vibrant vocals and melodies, electro-pop synth textures, electric guitar and programmed beats.

He says of his new single “Paradise”: “I wanted to write an upbeat love song inspired by my wife, but in a extremely catchy way that would be universal. I wanted to give the song a modern, cool feel with a dramatic change in the chorus to a fun, danceable, driving hook. The goal was to make the song unique but familiar, and a perfect fit for mainstream, Top 40 type pop”.

Drew cut his teeth in Cincinnati and Nashville fronting and producing alternative pop bands but is now breaking into the pop mold. He not only wrote his entire debut EP (New Perspective), but also played all the instruments, produced and mixed the entire project himself. “I have always been fascinated by all aspects of creating music,” Drew said. “As with any kind of art, every tiny detail matters and I love knowing everything that goes into my music”.
