Twenty-two-year old Musician, Grey Oaks has released a new funky single titled, ‘D.U.I’ or Driving Under Introspection. The 80’s inspired track has an addictive groove as soon as it hits your ears. His velvety vocals complement the silky melody that the song provides. Every lyric is sung with such emotion. You may break the repeat button. The song is about the feeling of driving back late at night with a lot on your mind.

“I wrote it after getting back from a trip to NYC and not telling a girl how I felt about her,” he says. He is an independent artist, producer, singer-songwriter, and guitarist. Karl Zine, one half of successful alt-pop duo RINNGS will release his debut as a solo artist ‘Clear Water’ ft. Iselin via Wow & Flutter Records. The calming “Clear Water” tracks with  heart-stopping vocals from Norwegian collaborator Iselin feels like a breath of fresh air. The production helps create that dreamy universe the listener is engulfed by. Karl Zine said this about the creative process;

“We wrote Clear Water on a cold day in Oslo. I was staying in a tiny apartment which felt like a cocoon from the world outside. The song talks about the reality of the range of emotions of living in such a small space with someone else over a long period of time. We liked the contrast of the necessary order with the chaos and un-tamed nature of the Nordic wilderness. We wanted the different sections of the song to mirror the turbulent mind of someone in this position, sometimes calm, sometimes yearning, sometimes angry, and make you feel like you’re going on the emotional journey with them.”

Iselin added “The norwegian line ‘Eg treng ro’ means that you need to find calm. “

It’s the first time he mixed norwegian and english in a song he’s co-written, “it kinda happened naturally in this one, and I love that! “

Karl Zine first found praise for his unique production style and songwriting with RINNGS. Releases from the duo have gained support from tastemaker blogs worldwide and featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday in UK, USA and Sweden. xurbulentt is here with his new single, ‘Holly’. This is the first track from a 5-track EP out today. This song tells a story about the life of children in care, the relationships they have and lose, and the consequences they are forced to experience from other people’s decisions. The track features an intimate piano that helps showcase his vocals as he speaks his raw truth. The song will reach many that listen because even though it may be hard to listen too, it is real. I know it took a lot for him to put his heart out like that but the result is beautiful, hauting and an eye opener.
