PREMIERE: Kelsey releases new single, ‘Begging’ – Reignland
Germany born singer – songwriter, ‘Kelsey’ is allowing us the exclusive premiere of her new single, ‘Begging’. The guitar driven track creates an intimate setting for the listener. Kelsey’s soulful vocals are powerful with every lyric she sangs, from start to finish you can hear the emotion. The added harmony behind her vocals, adds another reason to have this single on replay.
Speaking on the track, she says, “Begging is a song written for people in my life that I can’t change- it’s creation is healing for me. In the song, I am begging myself to let go of toxicity and to be true to myself. ” It’s like a country tune mixed with pop and a pinch of soul. She blends her vocals with this genre so well, it’s ridiculous in a good way. Her vocal tone, reminds me of , Amy Winehouse or Raiche.
She started writing music at 13, formed a band at 14 and started her own all female A- cappella group in High School. She traveled often growing up, which is when she ends up writing her music- on long car rides, in a plane or even walking to the store. From the age of 15, she was managing herself as a live performer in small cafes, at live events and for various creative projects. By the time she graduated high school she had written, produced and released two EPs. Hr debut single, ‘Cold Rain’ was getting the world ready for amazing artist.
