Pernilla Kannapinn takes you on a beautiful journey in new single, ‘Setting Sails’ – Reignland
After traveling the beautiful atmosphere of Europe in her van, she takes you on a journey titled, Setting Sails. The beautiful track has such a lush and soothing melody, not like anything else. You may be wondering what language the vocalist is singing in, well it is an unknown language about travel and new beginnings. Towards the end, she ends some jazz scatting that adds such flavor to the single. The single is part of the world created for her book “The Princess and the Singing Wood”. The book, according to her press release says that it takes place high up north on the island of Inski Pinski. It’s so far north that the only way to leave it is southwards. And it is so small that it has only three-and-a-half inhabitants. One of which, the princess, suffers from an illness: Far-sickness. So one day, accompanied by her little golden wolf, she decides to set sails – to explore what lies beyond the ivory shores of her home. I can’t wait to read the book and this song defiently feels like a breath of fresh air.
