Pacific has released an heart pumping track called “Idols” – Reignland

Pacific are making a name for themselves with their unique blend of alternative piano-enthused rock with indie nuances. The piano-indie rock band kick off 2020 with ‘Idols’ on Friday 24th January, having been spun on BBC Radio 1, featured in METRO and already seen a year of success with three sell out shows and continued strong BBC Introducing support.

The new single sheds light on the timeless struggle to never compromise in order to get to where you’ve always wanted to be, and it takes zero prisoners in its powerful execution. The track demands your attention from the get-go with a rousing opening bass line that remains present throughout, to the chorus declaring – “whatever you say won’t change my life / give it a year and we’ll be idols” – Pacific are convincing us all.

The powerful music will be getting a lot of play I truly believe, it’s an absolutely great song. The drums and guitar stand out to do a show stopping performance. I loved the vocals as well. Great job. Remember to listen and enjoy this track above and leave your feedback below. Add this to your playlist.

You don’t have to be strong all the time. Read this guest post titled, SadGirl by Angelique Jeffrey – Reignland

Originally Published on March 8h 2020.

What’s going on everyone? Y’all alright?!

So its “Women’s History Month” and every Monday of this month I’ll be highlighting the issues that a lot of us women face on a daily basis. Today let’s talk about our feelings…or my feelings. I can’t speak for everyone when I say this but dude… I am not 100%, okay and I don’t think I ever truly have been. Growing up, I’ve always been surrounded by strong women. Women that work hard to get to where they need to be, women that suck it up and do what they need to do to get shit done…as a result this is how I move through life.

The issue that comes out of moving this way is I feel as if I have to be strong at all times. No matter the inconvenience I have to figure it out, no time to cry when there’s work to be done. But what happens to those tears that never fell, those feelings that were never expressed? They turn into trauma.. and THAT turns into a vicious cycle if you don’t catch it early.

0d18ba_de673d7a8c5c46cfb816e993e8840d18mv2-5609966

I’ve learned throughout my journey, that I am 100% a product of my environment. I don’t thoroughly understand what expression feels/looks like unless its through my work and this a direct reflection of how I was raised. If I’m not creating and releasing in that way, my feelings are never let out. I can distinctly remember being younger and reacting to a situation that took place and being told that it was just a part of life and that I had to move on from how I felt. I was given a list of issues that this person had as if my issue wasn’t enough to warrant emotion. “I have way more going on than you, so you don’t deserve to feel a way about that one thing…” But I did deserve to feel that emotion and validation should’ve been the first response.

There was a lot of “how is being (insert emotion here) going to fix it” energy growing up. And don’t get me wrong here, I don’t fault those that raised me at all! My mother did what she could with what she had, mostly raising me on her own and trying to hold a household on her back. She had no time to cry, be angry, or ask herself why. She had a child to raise and no real shoulder to lean on. A product of her own environment… my “strength” began here.

My point is, my mother should have been able to cry about her hardships out loud instead of alone where no one could hear her. They were real and her feelings should’ve been validated by those she reached out to. She shouldn’t have be forced to teach me that you have to pick yourself up and toss those emotions to the side based on her experiences. The truth is, many of us are faced with the struggle of not being validated when we do reach out and express a glimmer of the pain we feel. Being told we’re overreacting or being dramatic for feeling a human emotion within a reaction should not be the default setting. Because in reality we are not always going to be strong, we can’t be. We will break down, we will hurt, we’ll be pissed off and we won’t know how the hell to feel.. and we need to understand that this is perfectly okay! Holding in basic human emotions for the sake of not looking weak, or not wanting to give in to negativity is a major piece of our issue as women.

This is the number one reason as to why so many women are suffering from undiagnosed mental illnesses. We’re depressed, we’re anxious, we’re so fucking over all of this…but no one will know about this because we’re strong women, out here getting shit handled.

Bella Hadid Blurs Reality With Lil Miquela in the New Calvin Klein #MyCalvins Ad – Reignland

Today, Miquela, the realistic robot, added something new to her resume. She joined Calvin Klein’s star-studded lineup as the final star in I Speak My Truth in #MyCalvins. In her ad, she was partnered with model Bella Hadid. I think she almost broke the internet?

The Calvin Klein campaign encourages individuals to embrace vulnerability through a series of videos featuring musicians, actors, and models sharing their truths. Billie Eilish, Chika Oranika, Noah Centineo, Shawn Mendes, and more kicked off the series last week. For the final video installment, Bella Hadid joins the mix and is seen standing in a dimly lit blue room before the lights come up to show Lil Miquela walking in to greet her.

“19-year-old robot Lil Miquela blurs the lines of truth and fiction with Bella Hadid. Is this a dream or real?,” the brand writes in the video description. “Life is about opening doors’, Hadid says, as Hadid caresses Miquela’s face, “creating new dreams, that you never knew could exist.” Then, the pair shares a kiss and stare at each other until the light dims again.

The video def shook a lot of people and the animation was so surreal but it def might rub people the wrong way even though the message is supposed to be an inspiring one during this campaign roll out. We will see where this story goes.

Sedona releases inspiring new single, ‘Everything’s Not Right’ – Reignland

Sedona shares her journey with depression in her latest single, ‘Everything’s Not Right”. The fresh new track feels like a breath of fresh air as you listen to the lush pop medley and her powerful and raw vocals. “It’s a beautiful melody that takes the heaviness of the subject and gives the listener hope,” she states.

I couldn’t get enough of the build that goes from the verse to the catchy hook, it instantly places the listener into a happy atmosphere with heartfelt lyrics and relatable truths. We loved inspiring music and she does it justice. I can’t wait to hear more.

Megan Nicole talks her new show ‘Adult (ed)’. – Reignland

Ever wish there was a guide to adulthood? Singer Megan Nicole did too and created one. called ‘Adult (ed)’. This past year Megan’s life catapulted from adolescence to adulthood, with her getting married, buying her first home and become a pet parent. These rapid changes left her a little overwhelmed and wishing she had a handbook which was the inspiration for the concept of Adult (ed). Adult(ed) is a show all about the things that we are expected to know as “grown-ups” that no one ever taught us. In each episode, Megan, along with a guest will tackle a new subject with the help of an expert on the topic. From throwing a fancy dinner party to figuring out taxes, viewers will learn something new with Megan and have some fun along the way. With this show, Megan is hoping that viewers walk away from the series and individual episodes feeling informed, positive, and confident about taking action to live a more informed and adult life. I got a chance to preview a few episodes and let me tell you, I not only learned a few things but Megan’s delivery of this information made feel like just a friend helping another friend. Read below about this new awesome project.

ER: How’s life been this year? MN: Life’s been good! I’m feeling the most balanced I ever have when it comes to work and my personal life. I went from being a workaholic, to slow down for a year, and I know I’ve landed at a great space. I will always have a fire and drive in me to create. It’s been great being able to create other things outside of music, like my new mini-series “adult(ed)”.
EA: You got married last year. What has been the biggest change in your life since saying I do? MN:I would say becoming an “us”. I now have a teammate at my side. If I’m making a big decision we are going to make it together. It’s no longer just about me or just about him. It’s not a loss of identity, but it is about making choices that will be best for both of us. And sometimes that means your partner might be making a sacrifice and another time it may be you that needs to make an adjustment. EA: What has been your favorite thing about being a wife? MN: I just really love starting and ending my days with my person! It’s cool to have someone that you look out for and who looks out for you.
EA: You also bought your first home at. 25, which is a dream! Congratulations Megan! So tell me, what was the fun part about the process and the not so fun part? MN: Thank you! I have to say, I don’t think there was anything particularly fun about the process. We did write the previous owners a letter to go along with our offer though which was fun and I like to think that helped. The not so fun part, was probably how dragged on it felt when we were in escrow. The paperwork felt never ending! EA: What’s your favorite thing about your new house? MN: It feels nice landing in a space that I know I’ll be in for a while. It really opened up the freedom to create a home that’s our own. When I was renting, I didn’t always have the freedom to paint the walls or hang all the things I wanted. Now, if I want a kitchen with blue cabinets, we can have a kitchen with blue cabinets (which we do, and I think that’s one of my favorite spaces because of it). It’s such a great feeling being able to fully personalize your space!
EA: Do you have any advice to people around your age looking for a home, but might not have the same knowledge about the process? MN: Talk to people in your life who have already been through the process! That was super helpful for us to talk to people who we trust and look to for advice. Make sure you really research the area you are looking in, find a realtor who can be helpful, and get a good inspection on the home!

EA: With all of this change in your life, you created a new show called Adult (ed), which I think is needed so much for us young people. How has it been creating this amazing project? MN: It’s been so fun to create this series and finally see it come to life! There are obviously many tools out there for “adulting”, but I loved the idea of breaking it down subject by subject in the form of a show. I love that it’s all in bite size pieces and that we have an expert on each subject guiding us. As we dove deeper and deeper into each episode we really started to find the voice and flow of the show and it felt good. I hope everyone can find something to take away from adult(ed) as we learn how to be grown ups together!

EA: What do you think is the hardest thing about Adulthood? MN: I would say the expectations we put on ourselves to “have it all together”. We’re expected to be good at it all. Keeping a clean home, time management, work and meanwhile we need to find time to take care of ourselves and love on our friends. When you realize it’s a journey everyone is on and that everyone has their short comings it takes a lot of the pressure off.

EA: What has been the best advice you have gotten about transitioning into adulthood? MN:In some ways I feel like I’ve been an adult for a while because I’ve been working since I was 15. I would say knowing it’s okay to not have it all figured out right now, because we honestly never really do.

EA: When can we expect more music ? MN: Hopefully some time this summer! I’m itching to get some new music out into the world.

The first season consists of 10 episodes that will launch on the 24th via Megan’s YouTube channel which currently has 4.1 million subscribers. You can follow Megan on Instagram @megannicolemusic and also stream her latest album’ Life Of The Party’ anywhere online music is sold.
