Berlin based Australian soul singer, songwriter, and producer James Chatburn is back with the ‘Jewellery and Gold’ single, taken from his upcoming debut album ‘Faible’ This soulful track features a beautiful groove with an addictive baseline that will keep you swaying all night. It reminds me of classic John Legend for sure. He gets more passionate in the verses but keeps it laid back in the chorus creating a perfect balance. I listened to this track about five more times after the first time because the groove is just so captivating that you want more.

“It started off as a noughties Pharrell/Neptunesy kind of vibe, but then I replaced the original synth with a piano and I decided to go for this throwback soul feeling, coming back to this Neptune’s vibe in part c. As an indie artist, I don’t live off much money, but sometimes I think, damn it would be nice to have a little more, even if I know that’s not gonna solve anything”, James Chatburn explains.

Since touring with Jordan Rakei and The Internet, producing for Brooklyn’s rum.gold, releasing on Majestic Casual and Soulection and collaborating with Australian hip hop legends Hilltop Hoods on their certified Gold single ‘Higher’, 2020 will reveal the culmination of the last few years of persistence and discovery. Ekelle released this epic new track called “Dropped” Ekelle is a multi-genre artist and songwriter from Toronto who rhymes about what she knows best – her real life experiences. New single, “Dropped,” is based on Ekelle’s true story of her 2015 false arrest under suspicion of drug trafficking. Not wanting this sudden roadblock to stop her momentum, she pushed herself to keep putting out music anyway – it was the only way to get through juggling court appearances and a fulltime job. Love it! Darian Zahedi has released a wonderful jam called “DANCING” It’s the debut solo track from Darian Zahedi, who performs in The Strokes’ side band CRX and People on People. I really like this song and the vibe it gives me. The beat is steady so you can really get into it. The vocals are great with the harmonizing. Liz Cass released a brand new track called “Chaos” London based Soul-Pop artist Liz Cass is back with an atmospheric cut building anticipation for her upcoming EP.Recorded and co-written with Ed Graves (known for his work with Alt-J amongst others) at Rainbow Wood Studios in Bath, the follow up to her solo debut ‘Bad Love’, ‘Chaos’captures more of a soulful energy. Austin Falsetto has released a great new track called “Skoot Skoot” He first remember having a passion for singing when he was about 7. Growing up in a Christian family he sung in the youth choir. Most of his older siblings had bit more shine than he did when it came to singing on Sundays, so he just kept his voice to himself and only sung around his little brother Aaron. This track is really cool and funny at the same time to me, I love the music as the heavy bass beat work it’s magic while you are being carried away with that great vocal piece. Lani Renaldo releases a brand new track called “Trainwreck” Lani Renaldo is an artist, producer and multi-instrumentalist from Los Angeles. Her passion and talent for songwriting began early on when she was one of six songwriters chosen to attend GRAMMY Camp at Converse Rubber Tracks in 2012. She then went on to study at USC’s Thornton School of Music, which further catapulted her musical education and career. This track tells a story that many will identify with, the great music adds to the genius lyrics. Edinburgh-based trio Liimo has released a new electrifying single titled,’Miracle’. The track is a beautiful dreamy pop with exciting synths and lyricism. The high powered melody is captivating and feels like a breath of fresh air,very vibrant. I love the grooviness of this as well that sneaks in the back. It’s almost a retro sound. I can’t wait to hear the full project. The debut album is titled ‘Volume 01’
