Cathal Murphy releases second single, “Girl at Home” – Reignland

Belfast based singer/songwriter/guitarist, Cathal Murphy has released a heart felt new track called “Girl at Home” The single was approached in the same manner of production as “For Better Days” but is focused on making a bit more space for the guitar according to the press release. This release is written specifically about relationships of touring musicians but tailored towards the longing associated with long-distance relationships. It focuses on the promise and excitement of returning home to someone who is waiting for you.  I like the sentiment of the lyrics very much, and the guitar solos are a nice touch. The background harmony flows so effortlessly with the addicitive lead vocals.

Cathal writes, “I’m really pleased with how Girl At Home has turned out – it’s a simple song when stripped back, a modest frame surrounding a very colourful canvas. This sound couldn’t have been created without the genius of Producer, Dave Molloy of Cellar Club Studios. Dave is a dream to work with and a phenomenal guitarist. Recording Girl At Home was an extremely fun process for both of us, as guitarists and I feel like that’s pretty evident in the track itself.” Be sure to listen to this track above and leave your feedback below.
