“MAJESTY” is about empowering womxn and femmes and reminding those that suppress them that “if you hurt womxn and femmes, you only hurt yourself; disrespecting us is only disrespecting yourself.” It’s a unique blend of pop, rock flair, RnB vocals and South Asian percussive elements that form a genre she likes to call Goddess Pop. You also can’t forget her firey vocals and the beautiful harmonies that pop in for a little at the break down part of the track.
Pop singer-songwriter Nikitaa combines her rock flair, RnB vocals and south-Asian twist to bring you a genre she has coined “Goddess Pop”. Aiming to empower womxn and femmes, Nikitaa’s first two singles “Honest” and “Exodus” garnered a total of just about half a million Spotify streams. She has previously lent vocals for Grammy award-winning producer Red One, Platinum-selling producer Russel Steedle, and is just off the heels of the successful launch of her first Punjabi single in India – “Vichoda Yaar Da” – that was critically acclaimed and garnered just under a million YouTube plays. Born and raised in Mumbai, India Nikitaa grew up between two worlds – one, her family’s deep ties to Indian classical music and the other the years she spent learning and studying RnB and Pop first with vocal coach to the (Bollywood) stars Samantha Edwards and then in LA at Musicians Institute. Nikitaa’s music is a witty blend of sassy lyrics and powerful vocals that invokes the universal image of the Goddess in all of her forms, moods and states. In her own words – “Every person has that Goddess power within them that honors the feminine within and without. I hope to remind people of this and uplift and empower them with my music, giving them space to express all their feelings no matter what it is they feel.”
