AWAL needs to stay ‘FOCUS’ on her dreams in new single – Reignland

Dreams can be hard to go after, especially when you are doing it on your own. AWAL knows all about that and she speaks on it on her new single, “Focus”. She recently moved to NYC to pursue her passion for music. NYC is a big city when you are a newbie to the fast pace and night life. She speaks on personal struggles with being stuck in her own head and trying to continue pushing. “Focus is a reminder for me. I wrote this song when I went home to PA where my parents live. I was feeling super disorganized and not like myself, but did not know why.”

She continued, “When I was younger, I would drive out to the middle of the no where and just sit in silence by my favorite pond. I could only hear myself and my thoughts; Being there is where I really felt like I could focus on how I am feeling and dealing with things. “

She definitely showcases her emotions on this song with high powered vocals and smooth melodies. I’m so glad she found her way and uses songwriting to clear her head. I can’t wait to see what she has next.
