THE GAZE calls on producer, yes/no/maybe for electrifying new single, ‘lighter’ – Reignland
The GAZE is back with a new single titled, ‘Lighter’. This track is the title track from his newly released sophomore EP. It speaks on the journey of self-help in the digital era. The vocals have an electric sound infused soul and raw emotions. The haunting intro with the distorted melodies creates such a dynamic introduction. The mix of alt R&B with hip hop elements create such a dope song.
Since releasing his 2019 debut EP ‘Sociable’, the breakout performer has enticed audiences at clubs and festivals across Australia (Midsumma Carnival, HONCHO DISKO, Gay Times) as well as featuring in lineups in New York and Japan (SWEET, Yamamizuki).
Back in 2020 with a sophmore four-track EP, lighter, THE GAZE digs deep into a personal story of overcoming mental health issues. The experimental release features production by yes/no/maybe, NIK NAVY and Jay Millionaires. The EP will be released on Friday 7 August.
