Vanela still feels the love even If it’s a ‘World Away’ in new single. – Reignland

After recently being commissioned to record one of her co-writes in Simlish, for The Sims 4, coupled with hitting one million plays on her self-penned RAM Records feature ‘Stand High’, Vanela is finally ready to unleash her first solo release to the world. 

Her debut single, ‘World Away’, which she wrote and co-produced, is the anthem for long-distance love. You rarely hear an artist sing about that type of relationship. She, however, hits the nail on the head with this one. Her vocals are firey and the pop background melody accompanies them like magic. The lyrics are honest and very relatable. The slight bass you hear throughout the song really adds that flavor to made it one of my favorites.

Vanela grew up in Bedford, UK, but many of her musical influences come from Italy, a result of being born into a music-filled Italian household. After making the demo of ‘World Away’ in her bedroom, she reached out to LA-based producer Zaro Vega, whose credits include upcoming production on the anticipated album of Drake’s OVO artist, PARTYNEXTDOOR. Zaro added the twist that she was looking for, taking inspiration from Kanye West’s ‘808s & Heartbreak’ and Lorde’s ‘Royals’ to find the perfect sweet-yet-edgy vibe for the song. 

2019 was a busy year for Vanela, performing with the likes of Stamina MC whilst also working with the successful American band RDGLDGRN, their collaboration is due for release later this year. Be sure to grab this smash and add it to your playlist.
