The Moonlight Club has released a new timeless ballad entitled ‘Simon & Nico’. The beautiful track is about friendships and dreams, a very lush tone. It is not clear who Simon & Nico are but we understand through the song’s metaphors that they are traveling duo–most probably musicians–with loves, hates and struggles.
The group said this about the track ‘Simon & Nico always was a special song for us. We knew it deserved a distinct release. This Single Edit is a rework of the original 6m song by Canadian producer and artist Danny Lütz.’
The song was written in the summer of 2016 by François Royer Mireault for The Moonlight Club’s self-titled debut album. It was recorded by David Smith at Breakglass Studios in Montréal. It features the mysterious Thirsty Jeff on the piano.
