The Star Prairie Project is the brainchild of Nolen R. Chew Jr., a song writer from Star Prairie, Wisconsin. The purpose of his recording project is to write original songs and make them into records. Nolen collaborates with musicians and producers from LA to London to bring his songs to life. The Star Prairie Project is named for the village of Star Prairie (50) miles NE of Minneapolis/St Paul and the Alan Parsons Project from back in the day.

LA based Indie Rock Band Old Man’s Money shares their new single ‘Red Lights’ today. The Made up of two Brits and two Americans, Old Man’s Money have been regulars on the Los Angeles gig scene. The track is powerful with the heavy-hitting drums and the soulful guitar melodies. The lead vocals have such groove to them and really adds the retro feel to the track. I can’t wait to hear more from this band who is bringing this style of rock back.

Matt Koelsch (ft Christie Huff) released an amazing new track called “Turn Around” I love the acoustic guitar melodies as it goes so smooth with the other instruments. The violins add something different to the track that you need. The vocals of both artist are absolutely amazing and sound beautiful together. I think we need more collaborations. Fk Woodz released a fantastic new track called “Options” Rap Artist Fk Woodz drops his latest appetizer track Options labeling himself as 2020s underdog. This super talented rapper does it again with another HOT track that will blow your mind and make you take a second look. The music is bold with the booming bass and brilliant lyrics. G@k is back with an emotional two-part track titled, ‘Tony Stark’. The intense track has a powerful cinematic melody as the foundation as he aggressive tells his story that will hit home for so many. This 2 part track finds G@k in the midst of a battle with his faith, questioning what he truly believes. This sounds like a movie battle scene where he fights his greatest adversary, himself. His voice is perfect for this kind of set up and almost has that DMX sound but a little lighter.

Over the course of his tenure Gak has released a project every year since 2017. His debut “Distortion” was Gak trying to find his voice, testing sounds, but what shines through is Gak’s raw passion and energy for his craft. With two projects under his belt and a number of singles, Gak has been covered by Dead End Hip Hop and The Art Factory. Since his artistic inception, Gak has performed multiple SXSW shows, put in work in the Texas show circuit, and even took his talents to LA last year.
