Ben Smiith and Jack Farr are back with a new retro sounding single, ‘Summer’s Here’. The track has such a fresh sound with it’s retro beach boy vibes paired with a modern day rock intensity. The lead vocals have that authentic raspy rock sound with the ability to fit any genre almost. It’s feels like an awesome summer day filled with fun and sun.
According to the press release, In Suffolk during the lockdown, the rough lyrics and guitar were started by Ben Smith and his fiancé Charlene Neary. Ben got in contact with old Uni friend Jack Farr about the possibility of collaborating. Ben sent song ideas to Jack and vice versa. Jack recorded elements such as Bass Guitar, Electric Guitar, and also programmed Drums, percussion, etc.
After feeling pretty low about the loss of work during this period (Ben is a full-time solo performer at pubs, weddings, etc), Ben wanted to write something that would cheer people up during this difficult time and that he did. Jack could fill in the musical gaps nicely as he is also a good sound engineer.
