The Weeknd spills his dark secret during an appearance on American Dad – Reignland

Singer The Weeknd appeared on Fox’s animated staple American Dad this past Monday and it was everything you hoped it would’ve been. He happily co-wrote the episode, titled “A Starboy Is Born,” which aired last night (May 4) on Fox. He’d spent the lead-up sharing images of the show’s resident alien, Roger, at the center of various Weeknd album covers.

Abel also told Variety how he’d been wanting to try a new kind of acting role out and how he’s a “longtime fan” of American Dad. “I always wanted to play a character that was the opposite of the public’s perception of me — and of course make fun of myself. Once I was given the opportunity I took complete advantage,” he said. The song itself was co-written by Joel Hurwitz and Electric Guest, along with Abel himself.

In the episode, he gets kidnapped by Stan and changes lives with Roger who feels being The Weeknd is so much better than not being him which causes Roger to get in trouble, The Weeknd to admit he’s a virgin, The mother almost dies and The Weeknd to drop a fire banger.

This isn’t the first time, he’s let loose his acting chops. His first acting appearance was in the very successful Adam Sandler movie last year, Uncut Gem, where he played By fought Adam Sandler and portrayed the high-haired 2012 version of himself. He also showcased his acting chops on SNL and the series of videos for After Hours. It just seems he was meant for this acting life honestly. We need to see more and according to his Vanity Fair interview, we will. We will soon see him doing voice over work for the Cartoon Network show, Robot Chicken. (I still don’t know what that show is about)

Be on the lookout for more Weeknd appearances and watch the new banger above.
