PREMIERE: Michael Colton shares new feel-good single, ‘Leave the Light On’ – Reignland

Singer songwriter, Michael Colton is here to give us the exclusive listen to his new single, ‘Leave The Light On’. It’s a feel-good and hopeful track that just sends hope to anyone listening. I started to smile from the first verse. It’s beautiful and his voice is soothing and creates this reassurance in you as you hear it. The song illustrates the lifelong connection between a father and son that begins with the early rituals of childhood. Colton’s clear, resonant vocals and emotive lyricism convey both the everyday interactions with his young son while at the same time, taking the singer back to his youth and the wisdom his parents imparted on him.

Colton has garnered significant accolades for his impeccable storytelling and his sound that seamlessly melds country, blues, and rock traditions, not to mention his masterful guitar chops. Produced by noted film and television composer/producer Brett Boyett, “Leave The Light On” features Colton on vocals and guitar as well as a group of talented studio musicians to round out the production. The song will be available digitally August 14 and an EP will be released in the fall. Colton has been featured in The Boot, American Songwriter, Elmore, and more.
