PREMIERE: LA duo, Stardawg talks falling in love with a best friend on new pop single ‘Runaway’ – Reignland

We are so happy to premiere this new track from Stardawg. They have released a cute new song inspired by a best friend who became a love interest, titled ‘Runaway’. The guitar-driven track is so touching as he describes his feelings for her. Sadly she did not have the same feelings for him but at least he was able to create such a beautiful tune. She did come to a show after, “I was playing a show and I knew she was in the crowd. The next morning I wrote the song in one sitting thinking about how i could envision her eyes watching me play even though I couldn’t physically see them.”

He continued, “As time went on I began to experience this same feeling with my late grandmother. I could picture her eyes watching me play the violin.” His vocals carry so effortlessly throughout the melodies of the song that it almost feels like a breath of fresh air as you listen. Broken hearts always make wonderful songs honestly. He really pours out his emotions on this song through the beautiful lyrics as well as the cute voicemail at the end. I can’t get enough of the LA-based duo.
