Matt Megrue releases cool visual for new single, ‘Afterglow’ – Reignland
Matt Megrue has finally released the visual for his new single, ‘Afterglow’. The new tune showcases so awesome vocal range and creativity. I love the emotion you see in the visual and the camera angles that change within the video to create a dramatic effect allowing you to really feel what he is saying. This visual defiently adds to the song as the song by itself is already amazing. This is the third single from the upcoming record, The Mourner’s Manual.
He spoke about what inspired the track, “Afterglow” was inspired by a relative I grew up riding skateboards and listening to music with. We were the same age, but as we got into our late-teenage years he began to struggle with severe mental health issues and had to be admitted to a hospital, where he still is today. “Afterglow” is a nostalgia-trip back to those pre-teen years of Alien Workshop skateboards, Counting Crows’ “Recovering the Satellites” and when the future was infinite and hopeful.
