Alf Whitby has released a sensitive new track called “Mountain” (For Change)” – Reignland

Alf Whitby has released a heartfelt track called “Mountain” (For Change). This is the final track from Alf Whitby’s upcoming debut album ‘Sistine Dreams’. This beautiful song is so sad yet relatable. Written by Whitby in the wake of seeing the end of a close friend’s relationship according to his press release. He describes this as the sound which followed the demise.

He was single at the time and what shook him was that “from the outside, I thought that this couple had everything I was looking for”. He describes ‘Mountain (For Change)’ as a song about the precariousness of love – “Some heights that can be reached but also fallen from. Some symbol of journey and destination. Something to be both awed and feared. Something you might well find yourself clinging to.” I loved the music and the vocals are soft and kind, I liked the background harmony too.
